I think if that is all there is that is NO REASON to get rid of any dog.

Many families discover after a few weeks or months that the TRD will love only the man or only the woman in the household.. and Jen is right.. One must be forceful and not a wussie when it comes to a TRD.

I sold a lady in California a RED bitch not long agao and the husband hates me and the dog because the dog is not showing any sort of love or friendship with the husband.. The bitch is really the dog of the wife.. and the male can be for both if one is strong enough to handle a BIG BLUE male TRD.

stop feeding him and let your wife do it all.. plus Jen is right daily walks with her is better..

When get home all will resort back but you ignore him and let he do it all soon things will change.. but his LOVE for you will never die.. and a new owner is really impossible now..

It definitely sounds like he does not see your wife as dominant over him.  Does she take him for walks and feed him?

My wife wants me to get rid of Jackson, I've talked her into keeping him thank God.  He's a good dog, we did obedience with him while he was a puppy and he listens pretty damn good for a dog.  Her issue is he does things almost like on purpose when I'm gone for more than a couple of days, ie...pooping on the floor, peeing in the house and diggs up the back yard.  When I'm home he doesn't do any of this except dig in the yard, and I've put in a dug in fence so he can't dig himself out of the yard.  He does still have a timidness that he's had since we got him although he's improved 10 fold, it may be a dominance thing, he sometimes cowers and pee's when I stand over him.  Any advice for this?
